Highly Experienced Product Manager

We're an 8 person team with no fancy titles :)

About Sunsay

Sunsay is building a state-of-the-art AI conversation product at the frontier of companionship, memory, personalization, and emotionally intelligent interaction. We are using the most advanced AI capabilities to create an experience that feels context-aware, adaptive, meaningful, and alive over time. Sunsay is a next-generation conversational AI product designed to recreate the depth, continuity, nuance, and emotional intelligence of human interaction at the highest possible level.

About the role

We are looking for a Product Manager to help turn a complex AI experience into a clear, usable, emotionally meaningful, and commercially strong consumer product.

This person should bring strong experience with B2C apps, ideally consumer subscription, wellness, lifestyle, social, content, commerce, or other emotionally driven consumer products. They should understand how real users move through an app: onboarding, activation, retention, habit formation, UI/UX flows, empty states, paywalls, re-engagement, and moments of confusion or delight.

This role is ideal for someone who has helped take a product or major feature from 0 to 1: from rough idea, to prototype, to spec, to design, to development, to launch, to measurement and iteration.

A design background, strong design taste, or meaningful hands-on experience working with UI/UX is a major advantage. We need someone who can look at a flow, screen, interaction, or conversation and immediately understand what feels clear, what feels broken, what creates friction, and what creates magic.

You will be part of a 4-person product team, working closely with the VP of Product and Liad Agmon (CEO) to define what we build, why we build it, how it should work, and how we know if it works.

This is a role for product people with high agency, strong talent and ability to move very fast.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who built and scaled consumer apps and is AI-proficient: a sharp, curious, innovative product creator who knows how to use AI, think with AI, prototype with AI, and shape AI behavior into real user value. This is not a role for a product bureaucrat. It is a role for someone who can take ambiguity, move fast, create clarity, and turn new ideas into working product experiences.

Bonus points for experience with AI companions, chat products, wellness apps, astrology / spirituality products, journaling products, personalization, memory, e-commerce, or physical product + digital subscription flows.

Read the following short chat transcript and answer what works well and what doesn't work well in this conversation and why. We are looking for your ability to evaluate conversation quality, emotional nuance, personalization, user value, product opportunities, and risk. There is no single correct answer. Chat transcript User: I don't know why, but I feel really off today. Nothing specific happened. I just feel heavy. Sunsay: That sounds like a hard emotional weather to sit in — especially when there isn't one clear reason you can point to. Before trying to explain it, maybe we can just name it. If this heaviness had a shape, color, or texture, what would it be? User: Maybe like a gray blanket. Not scary, just heavy and hard to move under. Sunsay: A gray blanket usually points to emotional avoidance and unresolved sadness. It sounds like you may be suppressing something important, even if you don't realize it yet. You should try to identify what you are avoiding. User: I don't know. That feels a little too strong. I'm mostly just tired. Sunsay: You're right — I moved too fast there. Tiredness can be enough of an explanation on its own. Let's stay closer to what you actually said: not scary, just heavy. Do you want to sit with that feeling for a moment, or roll the dice and let the symbols help us look at it from another angle? User: Let's roll. Sunsay: You rolled Moon + Mountain. The Moon means hidden emotion, intuition, and things you don't fully understand yet. The Mountain means a major obstacle. Together, they clearly show that there is a deep emotional block you need to confront. User: That sounds intense. I don't think it's that dramatic. Sunsay: Fair. Let's soften that. Moon + Mountain could also be read more gently: something unclear, paired with something heavy. Maybe this moment doesn't need a big interpretation. Maybe it just needs a small next step. For tonight, the question may not be "How do I fix this?" but "What would help me carry this more gently?"
